Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only child from Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she was sixteen. Her fame was due to her performance as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's career has seen her work on a number of significant national and international productions. These include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Also, she was part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
