Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire to attend The Dragon School. Emma decided to be an actor at age six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing dance, acting and singing. By the time she turned 10, she had already taken part in many Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The film adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time in 1999. Emma was identified by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having eight straight auditions. Emma's first appearance on the big screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. The highest-grossing movie of 2001 The film broke records for its debut day revenue as well as the opening weekend's earnings. It was highly acclaimed by critics, as were the performances of its three starlets. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Emma's performance was recognized and later won awards for the film.
